Before Starting the Engine
Before you can drive a lawn tractor, you must inspect the tractor thoroughly to ensure it is safe and secure to operate. Here are some essential steps to follow before starting the engine:1. Check the engine oil level to ensure it is at the right level.
2. Inspect the fuel level and fill up if necessary. Always use fresh petrol and do not mix it with oil.
3. Check the tire pressure and adjust accordingly. Proper tire pressure ensures your tractor can operate at maximum performance.
4. Look out for any loose or missing parts, including bolts and buttons.
5. Lastly, ensure the blades are disengaged before starting the engine. This step will prevent any accidental injuries or damages to the machine.
Starting the Engine
Now that you have inspected the tractor, it's time to start it up. Follow these steps:1. Check the gear shift lever and make sure it's in neutral.
2. Engage the brake pedal and lift the cutting attachment lever to the highest point.
3. Turn the key in the ignition to start the engine, and the engine should come to life.
4. Release the parking brake pedal and the brake pedal. Slowly release the cutting- attachment lever to the desired height.
Driving the Lawn Tractor
1. Select a suitable gear speed for the area you're mowing. The higher the speed, the faster you'll be able to complete the task, but for tighter areas, you'll want to go slower.
2. Check your surroundings and ensure no obstacles are on the path.
3. Start the engine and slowly release the brake and park the brake pedal.
4. Start accelerating and keep the tractor in a straight line. Do not make any sudden movements with the steering wheel.
5. Drive the tractor in a straight line until you complete the mowing task. Afterward, turn the tractor around to do the next mowing row.
Shut Down the Engine
After you complete mowing, you must turn off the engine following these steps:
1. Bring the tractor to an even surface and stop it.
2. Move the gear shift lever into neutral.
3. Engage the brake pedal and lift the cutting attachment to the highest point.
4. Turn the key in the ignition to shut down the engine.
